§ 1.03. Extension of Boundaries

  • The council shall have the power by ordinance, to annex territory lying adjacent to the city, subject to procedural laws, and prior to the final passage of such ordinance, the council shall provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard at a public hearing, notice of which is duly given. All city services are to be provided, operational, as prescribed by applicable laws of the State of Texas in effect on the date of the final passage of said ordinance. Purpose of which is extending and enlarging the boundary limits of the city. Such annexation shall be limited and controlled only by the laws of the State of Texas.
