§ 2.107. Animal Care Guidelines
(a)
Provisions of food, shelter, and care. No person shall fail to provide his/her animal, as determined by animal control, with sufficient good and wholesome food and water, proper shelter and protection from the weather, veterinary care when needed to prevent suffering, and with humane care and treatment.
(b)
Tying dogs and other animals. It shall be unlawful for any person to tie or tether a dog or other animal to a stationary object for a period of time or in a location, so as to create an unhealthy situation for the animal or a potentially dangerous situation for a pedestrian as determined by the animal control manager.
(c)
Fenced enclosures. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep a dog within a fenced enclosure in which the fence is in a state of disrepair.
