§ 1.1506. Lake Custodian-Appointment, Bond

  • (a)

    For the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this article, the office of lake custodian is hereby created.

    (b)

    The lake custodian shall be appointed by the mayor, by and with the consent of the city council, and shall hold office at the pleasure of the mayor and city council. The lake custodian shall have full powers of a police officer of the city.

    (c)

    Upon his appointment, the lake custodian shall take the oath of office as required by the constitution and laws of the state, and give and furnish a good and sufficient bond in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), payable to the city, conditioned that he will faithfully perform all of the duties of the office as required of him by the terms of this article. If the lake custodian furnishes a bond with personal sureties, the same shall be signed by two (2) or more good and sufficient sureties; if he furnishes a surety bond, the same shall be signed by a reliable and substantial surety company, authorized to do business in the state.
