§ 1.1301. Temporary Restriction of Activities Due to Pollution

  • If it should be determined from the ruling of the city council that pollution is occurring so as to endanger the water in Lake Amon G. Carter for public consumption, or so as to endanger the city keeping a state-approved water supply under the rules set up by the state, then upon action of the city council all activities affecting such pollution upon such lake and surrounding same, including fishing, boating, water skiing, camping, etc., shall be prohibited until such danger is past. Notices will be posted at the roadway entrance to Lake Amon G. Carter proclaiming such ruling of the city council. Any violation of the ruling of the city council regarding such restrictions shall be subject to the penalties provided for the violation of this Code.
