§ 1.1006. Advisory Board

  • An advisory board shall be established to meet on an annual basis to review the revenues collected and audit the expenditures from the hotel/motel tax receipts. The board shall report to the mayor and council with respect to their findings and offer any suggestions for improvements or inconsistencies with the provisions of this article. The board shall be comprised of a chairperson (councilmember) and four (4) members [two (2) from the hotel/motel industry and two (2) from the chamber of commerce]. Representatives of the board shall be renewed and/or replaced every two (2) years.
