§ 11.507. Unauthorized Connections After Disconnection for Nonpayment

  • If utility service should be disconnected for nonpayment and the service is reconnected or turned on without proper authorization by the utility service section, the staff shall follow through by all remedies available under the law to cause citations to be issued to the owner/occupant of the unit in question and any other person that is known to be involved. The service is to be interrupted immediately, and the account is to be charged another disconnect fee. Should this sequence of events be repeated, a more permanent service severance shall be required to avoid additional unauthorized reconnects and the account charged fifty dollars ($50.00) for each such additional severance of utility services.
